GINGER CREAMS (COOKIES) 
1/3 cup shortening (Crisco)
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
1/2 cup molasses
1/2 cup water
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Cream shortening, sugar, egg, molasses and water. Blend in remaining ingredients and chill.

Drop by teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350°F for 8 minutes or until no imprint remains when touched lightly in the center.
