ESTHER'S POPPY SEED CAKE 
2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. oil
4 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 can (tall) evaporated milk
1 can poppy seed filling
1 c. chopped nuts

Place sugar, oil, eggs and vanilla in a large bowl and beat well. Sift together flour, soda and salt, add to first mixture alternately with the milk and poppy seed filling. Add nuts. Bake in an ungreased 10 inch tube pan at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 10 minutes.
