COLORFUL CHOCOLATE CHIPPERS 
3/4 c. butter
1 1/3 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. M & M's plain chocolate candies
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Beat together butter and sugar until light and fluffy; blend in eggs and vanilla. Add combined flour, soda and salt; mix well. Stir in candies and nuts. Drop dough by heaping tablespoons onto greased cookie sheet about 3 inches apart.

Bake at 350 degrees for 9 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool on cookie sheet about 3 minutes; remove cookies to wire rack to cool thoroughly. Makes about 2 dozen 3 1/2 inch cookies.

Variation: For 3 1/2 dozen 2 1/2 inch cookies, drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 6 or 7 minutes. Proceed as recipe directs.
