LAYERED TORTILLA PIE 
2 lb. ground beef
1 sm. onion, chopped
Garlic
1 (8 oz.) tomato puree
1 tbsp. chili powder
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
6 corn tortillas
2 c. shredded cheese

Brown meat, onion, and garlic. Drain. Add tomato sauce, chili powder, salt, and pepper. In round 2 quart casserole, alternate layers of tortillas, meat sauce, and 1 1/2 cups cheese.

Sprinkle remaining 1/2 cup cheese over top. Bake covered at 400 degrees for 25 minutes. Remove cover and allow to stand 5 minutes before cutting in wedges. 4-6 servings.
