CORNMEAL MUSH OR FRIED MUSH 
3 c. water
2 tsp. salt
1 c. corn meal
1 c. cold water

In a large pan, bring water and salt to boil. In a dish mix corn meal and water, stir until smooth. Add mixture to salted boiling water. Stir until mixture becomes thick. Cover with a lid, turn fire low and continue to cook about 5 minutes.

Turn onto serving bowls serve with milk and sugar or with butter and sugar, serve hot.

For Fried Mush: Turn into a 2 inch deep baking dish. Let cool overnight to set up. Next day slice in 1/2 inch thick slices. Remove from dish.
