1 c. self rising meal
1/2 c. self rising flour
1/2 c. onions
1/2 c. sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
3 dashes Tabasco sauce
1 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg
3/4 c. buttermilk

Mix and let stand while cooking fish. Do not stir and drop by teaspoonful into hot oil that fish has been cooked in.
