SWEDISH APPLE CRUMBLE 
2 (20 oz.) cans sliced apples
3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 c. flour
1/4 c. butter

Empty 1 can of apples into shallow 1 1/2 quart baking dish. Combine 1/4 sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle half of this mixture over apples. Repeat.

Combine flour and remaining 1/2 cup of sugar. Cut in the butter with two knives or pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse cornmeal. Spread this mixture over top of casserole.

Bake at 425 degrees until top is browned, about 15 minutes. Serve with cream or custard sauce, if desired. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
