TRAVELER'S COFFEE CAKE 
3 c. flour
1 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
3 tsp. baking powder
Dash of salt
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
3 tbsp. sugar mixed with 3 tbsp. cinnamon or other sweet spice

Sift flour with baking powder and salt. In a separate bowl, beat eggs, add milk and vanilla. In a third bowl, cream sugar with shortening. Add egg mixture to sugar mixture. Mix into flour gradually.

Drop by large spoonfuls into tube pan. Sprinkle each gob or layer with cinnamon mix. Cover top generously with spice mix. Marble by using knife to swirl. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Great cake for camping or car vacations.
