HAM AND CHEESE CHOWDER 
2 med. potatoes (diced)
1 med. onion (chopped)
1 head broccoli (diced)
2 c. diced ham
2 qts. water
3 tbsp. butter
3 tbsp. flour
1 c. milk
2 c. grated Cheddar cheese or jalapeno Velveeta cheese

In saucepan, simmer first 5 ingredients until vegetables are tender. In a separate saucepan melt butter and blend flour. Stir in milk until smooth. Heat on low setting, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens. Blend in cheese then add cheese sauce to vegetables. Serve with crackers.
