2 c. sugar 1 tsp. baking soda Pinch salt 1 c. buttermilk 2 tbsp. butter 1 tsp. vanilla 2 c. pecans In large pan, bring sugar, soda, salt and buttermilk to a boil, stirring constantly. Cook to medium soft ball stage (230 degrees on candy thermometer). Remove from heat, add butter, vanilla and pecans and beat until thick and creamy. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto waxed paper. |
