"CRUZAN" BANANA FRITTERS | |
4 c. flour 1 1/2 c. sugar 1/4 tsp. salt 1 c. warm water 1 1/2 c. or 4 mashed bananas 1 pkg. yeast 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. nutmeg 1 qt. oil for frying Dissolve yeast in warm water; add a pinch of sugar. Let stand for 15 minutes. Combine all the dry ingredients. Blend yeast mixture with mashed bananas; slowly add in the dry ingredients. Let rise for 1 hour. Deep fry using Crisco or Wesson oil. Drop 1 teaspoon batter at a time into oil and fry until lightly browned. You may roll in powdered sugar. |
