CORN CHOWDER 
4 slices bacon, diced
1 lg. onion, chopped
3 potatoes, peeled and diced
3 c. water
2 c. ham, diced
1 can whole kernel corn

WHITE SAUCE:

3 tbsp. butter
1/4 c. flour
2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 c. milk
2 tbsp. dried parsley

Cook bacon near crisp. Drain grease, add onion; cook until soft, add potatoes and water. Cook covered 15 to 20 minutes. Make white sauce and add it along with the remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil; simmer 10 to 15 minutes or until done.
