HAM CHOWDER 
2 c. cubed potatoes
1/2 c. cubed carrots
1/2 c. diced celery
1/2 c. diced onion
2 c. boiling water
1/4 c. melted butter
1/4 c. flour
Add milk to make sauce
1 can creamed style corn
1/4 c. cubed cheese
1 c. diced ham

Cook vegetables in boiling water until tender, do not drain. Make white sauce of butter and flour. Add to vegetables if too thick and thin with water. Add corn, cheese and ham. Add salt and pepper as desired simmer 1/2 hour stirring occasionally.
