TENDER CRISP SUGAR COOKIES 
1 c. butter
1 c. Crisco
1 c. powdered sugar
1 c. white sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla; beat well. Sift flour and soda and cream of tartar together and add to creamed mixture. Roll into balls. Dip a glass into sugar and flatten the balls of dough. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
