WHITE CHOCOLATE CAKE 
1/4 lb. white chocolate melted over hot chocolate and slightly cooled
1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
2 1/2 c. cake flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. pecans
1 c. flaky coconut

Cream butter and sugar until light. Add melted chocolate, then add eggs, one at a time, beating well. Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Add alternately with milk. Beat well. Fold in vanilla, pecans and coconut. Pour into 2 greased and floured 9 inch layer pans and bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees or bake in tube pan for 75 minutes.

ICING:

4 oz. white chocolate
Dash of salt
2 tbsp. butter
3/4 c. confectioners sugar
2 tbsp. hot water
1 egg yolk
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Melt chocolate; blend in sugar, salt and hot water. Add egg yolk and beat well. Add butter, 1 tablespoon at a time. Stir in vanilla. Makes 3/4 cup of frosting.
