GOOD - FOR - YOU GRANOLA BARS | |
1/2 of a 12 oz. chocolate chips (1 c.) 1/2 of a 12 oz. bag butterscotch chips (1 c.) 2 c. miniature marshmallows 1/3 c. honey 1 c. uncooked oats 1/2 c. chopped dates 1/2 c. raisins 1/2 c. wheat germ 1/2 c. coconut 1/2 c. nuts Melt all chips together in a double boiler or microwave. Blend in marshmallows and honey. The mixture will be sticky at first, but will melt into liquid. In a separate bowl, combine the remaining ingredients. Add the chocolate mixture and mix well. Pour into a 9 x 14 inch pan coated with vegetable oil cooking spray and pat down. Cool in refrigerator. When partially cool, cut into bars. Serve at room temperature for maximum chewiness. |
