CRANBERRY BREAD | |
3/4 c. butter 1 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar 4 eggs 3 c. all-purpose flour, unsifted 2 tsp. baking powder 2 tsp. baking soda 2 tsp. ground cinnamon 1/2 tsp. ground cloves 1 can whole berry cranberry sauce 2/3 c. chopped walnuts 2/3 c. golden raisins 1. In large bowl beat butter and sugar until creamy. Beat in eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. 2. Stir together dry ingredients and spices. Add to creamed mixture and stir until well blended. Mix in cranberry sauce, nuts and raisins. 3. Spoon into 2 greased and floured 9 x 5 inch loaf pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes to 1 hour or until done. Cool in pans 10 minutes, then turn onto racks to cool completely. Makes 2 loaves. |
