DUTCH LETTUCE | |
5 slices bacon, diced 1 beaten egg 1/3 c. vinegar 1/4 c. minced onion 2 tbsp. sugar 2 tbsp. water 6 c. torn leaf lettuce In skillet, cook bacon until crisp. Do not drain. Combine egg, vinegar, onion, sugar, water and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Add to bacon and drippings. Heat just to boiling, stirring constantly. Place lettuce in bowl. Pour hot dressing over toss lightly. |
