POPCORN BALLS 
5 qt. popped corn

2 c. sugar

1 1/2 c. water

1/2 tsp. salt

1 1/2 c. light corn syrup

1 tsp. vinegar

1 tsp. vanilla

Few drops cake coloring

Keep popcorn warm, put in oven. Cook sugar, water, salt and corn syrup to very hard ball stage at 256 degrees by candy thermometer. Add vinegar and vanilla then food coloring. Cook to light crack stage at 280 degrees. Pour slowly over popcorn and mix well to coat every kernel. Form in balls. Makes 20 popcorn balls.
