KATEY'S STRAWBERRY GLAZE PIE 
9" baked pie shell
6 c. strawberries, washed & hulled (about 1 1/2 qts.)
1 c. sugar
3 tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 c. water
1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1/2 pt. whipping cream
2 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Bake pie shell. Mash enough berries to measure 1 cup. Blend sugar and cornstarch, stir in water and crushed berries. Cook, stirring until mixture thickens. Boil and stir 1 minute. Cool.

Spread softened cream cheese on bottom of baked pie shell. Fill shell with remaining whole berries. Pour cooked berry mixture over top. Refrigerate several hours or until set. Serve with whipping cream spread over top.

WHIPPING CREAM: Mix 1/2 pint cream with 2 teaspoons sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla.
