FREEZER PICKLES | |
1 tbsp. salt 7 c. thinly sliced cucumbers 3 thinly sliced onions 2 c. sliced green or red peppers 2 c. sugar 1 c. white vinegar 1 tsp. celery seed Place cucumbers, onions and peppers in a large container and sprinkle with salt. Let stand for 2 hours. Drain thoroughly. Place the mixture of sugar, vinegar and celery seed over and let stand in the refrigerator for 24 hours. Pack in freezer containers and freeze. Ready to eat after 12 hours freezing. |
