BLACK BOTTOM CUPCAKES 
1 1/2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. cocoa
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. water
1/3 c. veg. oil
1 tbsp. vinegar
1 tsp. vanilla

Sift together dry ingredients. Add to wet ingredients and beat well.

FILLING:

8 oz. cream cheese
1 egg
1/3 c. sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
6 oz. chocolate chips

Mix all ingredients, except chocolate chips, until smooth and creamy. Fold in chocolate chips.

Fill cupcake liners 1/3 to 1/2 full with cake batter. Add 1 heaping teaspoon of cream cheese filling mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes. Makes about 3 dozen.
