SUGARLESS APPLE PIE 
1 (6 oz.) can frozen apple juice, thawed
2 tbsp. cornstarch or alternative
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 tbsp. butter
1 recipe 2 crust pie pastry
6 to 8 med. cooking apples, peeled
1 tbsp. butter

Reserve 1/2 cup apple juice. Combine remaining apple juice, cornstarch and cinnamon in saucepan; mix well. Add reserved juice; mix well. Cook over medium heat until thickened, stirring constantly. Stir in 2 tablespoons butter.

Line 9 inch pan with 1 pie pastry. Slice apples into pastry. Pour cinnamon mixture over apples. Top with remaining pie pastry. Seal edges; cut vents. Dot with remaining butter. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes or until pie is brown. May also cook apple filling in saucepan and place in baked pie crust without top for fast and easy preparation.
