ESCALLOPED POTATOES AND
HAMBURGER
 
1 lb. hamburger
1 tsp. salt
6 med. sized potatoes, peeled and sliced
1 lg. onion, sliced
Salt and pepper
1 (10 1/2 oz.) can mushroom or celery soup
About 1 c. milk
1/2 c. chopped green pepper

Mix together meat and 1 teaspoon salt. Brown slowly, drain off fat. Put alternately in buttered casserole layered red sliced potatoes, onions and browned meat. Sprinkle each layer with salt and pepper. Mix soup and milk, green pepper. Pour over mixture. Cover. Bake 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Uncover, bake until potatoes are done.
