TURTLE CAKE 
German chocolate cake mix
1/2 c. butter
1 1/2 c. water
1/2 c. oil
14 oz. condensed milk
1 c. pecans
1 lb. caramels
6 oz. chocolate chips (optional)

ICING:

Combine: 1 lb. powdered sugar 1/2 c. butter 6 tbsp. milk

Combine mix, butter, water, oil and 1/2 can condensed milk. Mix well. Pour batter in greased and floured 9x13 pan. Bake at 350 degrees 20-25 minutes.

Melt and mix caramels and the other 1/2 can milk in microwave. Pour over the 1/2 baked layer. Sprinkle nuts and chips. Pour rest of cake batter on to pan bake 25-30 minutes longer.

For icing combine ingredients and soften in microwave and mix well with 1 lb. powdered sugar.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
