2 pkg. yeast 1/4 c. warm water 2 sticks butter 1 c. hot water 1 c. cold water 2 slightly beaten eggs 1/4 c. sugar 1 tsp. salt 3 1/2 c. whole wheat flour 3 1/2 c. white flour Mix 2 pkg. yeast in 1/4 cup warm water, and set aside. Melt 2 sticks butter in 1 cup hot water. Add 1 cup cold water to this. Add 2 mixed eggs, 1/4 cup sugar and 1 tsp. salt. Add liquid together. Then add 3 1/2 cup whole wheat flour and 3 1/2 cup white flour. Mix well then put in an oiled bowl and refrigerate, covered. Will keep for 2 weeks. Roll out as used. Makes 2 loaves or delicious cinnamon rolls. Let rise. Bake at 350 degrees. |
