BANANA WALDORF SALAD 
1 (8 oz.) can pineapple chunks, drained
1 lg. stalk celery
1/2 c. walnut pieces
1/4 c. maraschino cherries
1/2 c. whipped cream or whipped topping
1/2 c. mayonnaise
2 tsp. lemon juice
2 bananas
4 lettuce leaves
Enough maraschino cherries to garnish

1. Put pineapple in mixing bowl.

2. Cut celery into small pieces with kitchen scissors, add to pineapple.

3. Stir in walnut, cherries, whipped cream, mayonnaise and lemon juice.

4. Peel bananas. Cut into crosswise slices using table knife and add to bowl. Stir gently to combine.

5. Chill 30 minutes.

6. Place 1 lettuce leaf on 4 plates when ready to serve. Divide salad among plates. Garnish with piece of maraschino cherry. Serve immediately. Makes 4 servings.

NOTE: This recipe is very easy for children to make.
