ORANGE COAST MARMALADE BREAD
1 1/2 c. & 2 tbsp. sifted flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tbsp. melted butter
1/2 c. orange marmalade
1/2 c. walnuts
2 tbsp. orange juice
2 tbsp. orange liqueur
1/4 c. sugar

Into a large bowl sift together flour, baking powder, salt and 1/2 cup sugar. In another bowl beat the egg and combine with butter and milk. In small saucepan bring the marmalade and nuts to simmer. Pour the milk mixture all at once into the flour mixture and whip until just enough to blend. Immediately stir in the simmering marmalade and nuts. Pour batter into a greased 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan and bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes. Remove pan to rack and poke several holes in the loaf. Drizzle syrup over warm loaf - wrap in foil. Store at least 1 day before slicing bread.

Syrup mixture: Heat orange juice, orange liqueur and 1/4 cup sugar together in small saucepan over low heat stirring until sugar dissolves.
