Start heating oven to moderate 350 degrees. Place these ingredients in layers in a 2-quart baking dish with a tight-fitting lid.

1 c. UNCLE BEN'S® converted rice
1 c. canned whole kernel corn, drained
Sprinkle with salt and pepper

Reserve liquid. Pour over 1 (8 oz.) can Hunt's tomato sauce and 1 can water and use corn liquid.

1/2 c. finely chopped onion
1/2 c. finely chopped green pepper
3/4 lb. uncooked ground beef
Sprinkle with salt and pepper

Pour over second can of 8 oz. Hunt's tomato sauce and 1/4 can of water. Cover meat with 4 strips bacon, cut slices in half. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Uncover and bake about 30 minutes or longer until bacon is crisp. Serves 4-5 people.
