APPLE CRISP 
2 lbs. apples (Granny Smiths)
1/4 c. water
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. light brown sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
3 tbsp. flour
3/4 c. rolled oats
1/2 c. butter

Core, peel and dice apples in 2-quart casserole. Add water. Mix sugars, cinnamon, flour, and oats. Melt butter. Sprinkle dry ingredients over apples and pour melted butter over all. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Serve cold or warm plain or with ice cream topping. Serves 6 to 8.
