SUMMER APPLE - PLUM CRISP 
1 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 lb. butter
2 lbs. Granny Smith apples
1/2 lb. plums
1 tbsp. cornstarch

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Combine flour, 1/2 cup of the sugar, salt, 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg. Cut in butter until mixture is crumbly. Peel apples and cut into thin slices. Slice plums. Combine fruit with remaining 1/2 cup sugar, 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg and cornstarch. In 9 inch pie plate, sprinkle crumb topping over the fruit. Bake until golden or fruit is tender, about 50 to 60 minutes. Serve warm or cool. Serves 6.
