FRESH APPLE CRISP 
3 lbs. apples, peeled, cored and sliced

TOPPING:

1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
2 c. Granola cereal

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Generously butter an 11x7 baking dish. Arrange apple slices in dish.

In bowl combine butter, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg until crumbly. Stir in cereal. Sprinkle over apples - making sure edges are covered. Bake 25 to 30 minutes until topping is browned. Serve hot or cold - with or without ice cream or Cool Whip. Serves 8.
