STICKY BUNS
1 c. milk
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 cake (1 scant tbsp.) yeast
2 c. flour
3 eggs, slightly beaten
2 more c. flour

Scald milk. Add shortening, sugar, and salt. Start to cool. When warm, add yeast. Stir gently and let set for 10 minutes. Add flour, eggs, and additional 2 cups of flour. Knead lightly. Put to rise. When double, punch down. At this point, you can make dinner rolls.

For sticky buns, roll out a large rectangle. Spread with melted butter. Sprinkle with a lot of cinnamon, brown sugar, raisins and nuts. Roll up and cut off rolls. Put into pan that has white Karo covering the bottom. Cover with damp towel and let rise until double. Bake at 375 degrees until done. Immediately turn out on foil to cool upside down.
