GERMAN CHOCOLATE POUND CAKE | |
2 c. sugar 1 c. shortening 4 eggs 2 tsp. vanilla 2 tsp. butter flavoring 3 c. sifted flour 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. salt 1 pkg. German sweet chocolate Grease and flour tube pan. Mix all ingredients and pour into tube pan. Bake at 300 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. Remove cake from pan while hot and cover tightly. (The secret to the cake is making sure it is covered tightly.) |
