ERIKA'S SPECIAL FRUIT TART
COOKIES
 
3 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 lb. butter, melted
2 jars fruit pie filling or fresh fruit

Mix flour, sugar, baking soda, melted butter. Reserve 3/4 cup of dough. On greased cookie sheet pat dough in pan, will seem dry and crumbly. Cover with fruit filling. Then sprinkle remaining dough over top. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 to 60 minutes, depends on oven. I often use 2 different jars of filling, half peach, half blueberry, etc. Cut in squares. If using apple, make it ala mode and serve warm. Fast, easy and great! Kids can make it.
