1 (1 lb. 2 1/2 oz.) pkg. white cake mix 2 (3 oz.) pkgs. cherry Jello 2 c. boiling water 1 (8 oz.) container Cool Whip 1 (1 lb. 6 oz.) can cherry pie filling, chilled Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare cake mix according to directions. Bake in a 9x13 inch pan. A few minutes before cake is done, dissolve gelatin in boiling water. Remove cake from oven, take a fork and pierce cake all over, making holes to bottom of pan. Pour hot gelatin over hot cake. Chill. Spread Cool Whip on top of cake. Top with cherry pie filling. Cut in squares and serve. |
