SAGE AND CHEDDAR BISCUITS | |
2 c. unbleached flour 1 tbsp. baking powder 4 tbsp. butter 1/2 c. sharp cheddar cheese, grated 2 tbsp. fine chopped sage 3/4 c. milk Blend flour, baking powder, butter and cheese together with fingers until crumbly. Add sage and mix. Stir in milk with fork making soft dough. Knead on floured surface 1 minutes. Pat out 3/4 inch for fluffy biscuits, 1/4 inch for crusty biscuits. Cut with biscuit cutter and place on baking sheet. Bake 10 to 12 minutes at 450 degrees. |
