NUTMEG STREUSEL MUFFINS 
STREUSEL:

1 1/3 c. all-purpose flour
1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 c. butter, softened

MUFFINS:

2/3 c. all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2/3 c. buttermilk
1 egg

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Streusel: In a large bowl, combine 1 1/3 cup flour and brown sugar. Cut in butter until crumbly. Reserve 1/2 cup for Streusel Topping.

Muffins: In same bowl, add remaining ingredients to flour mixture. Stir just until moistened. Spoon into 12 greased muffin cups. Sprinkle with reserved streusel mixture. Bake 18-22 minutes or until lightly browned. Let stand 5 minutes; remove from pan. Yields 12 muffins.
