BRANDIED CHOCOLATE CAKE 
1 (18 oz.) pkg. chocolate cake mix
1 (3 1/2 oz.) pkg. instant chocolate pudding mix
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
4 eggs
3/4 c. brandy
3/4 c. cooking oil

ICING:

1 (6 oz.) pkg. instant chocolate pudding mix
3 c. cold whipping cream
1/4 c. brandy

Combine cake mix, pudding mix, nutmeg, eggs, brandy, and oil. Mix with an electric mixer on low speed until smooth, 1 minute. Then at medium speed for 3 minutes.

Pour into 3 greased and floured 8 inch round cake pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely.

For icing, prepare pudding mix using whipping cream. Add the brandy. Spread 1/3 of icing on first layer, 1/3 on second and remainder on top layer.

Top may be garnished with 10x sugar through lace doily, strawberries, chocolate shaving, or however you wish.
