CHRISTI HILTI'S PEANUT BUTTER
BARS
 
1 1/2 c. peanut butter (smooth and crunchy)
1 1/2 c. graham cracker crumbs
2 cubes butter, melted

Add the above to 1 pound powdered sugar. Mix together and press into buttered 9x13 pan. Refrigerate. Melt 12 oz. chocolate chips and 1 spoonful shortening over medium or low heat. Use a lot of caution when doing this. It's pretty easy to ruin your chocolate chips by using too much heat. Pour chocolate evenly on top of the peanut/sugar mixture. To smooth the chocolate mixture on top just spread it and then vibrate it by shaking the pan back and forth.

After this sets up a bit in refrigerator score the top. After it hardens for several hours you can cut into bars. Scoring keeps the chocolate from breaking into small pieces.
