KRAUT AND SAUSAGE SUPPER | |
1/2 lb. bulk sausage (turkey works well) 3 eggs 3/4 c. milk 1/2 c. finely crushed soda crackers 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese 1 tbsp. parsley 2 tsp. onion, chopped 1/2 tsp. caraway seeds 1 (16 oz.) can sauerkraut, drained 1/2 c. sour cream Lightly brown sausage; drain. Combine eggs, milk, crackers, 1/4 cup of the cheese, parsley, onion and caraway seeds. Add sausage and sauerkraut. Place in 6 to 10 inch baking dish. Cover and bake 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Spread with sour cream and sprinkle with remaining Parmesan. Bake uncovered, 15 minutes longer. Let stand 10 minutes before serving. Serves 4 to 6. Can double the recipe and bake in a 9x13 inch pan. |
