GERMAN CHOCOLATE CARAMEL
BROWNIES
 
1 (6 oz.) can evaporated milk
1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
1 c. chopped nuts
1 (11 oz.) bag caramels
3/4 c. butter, melted
1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate morsels

Melt 1/2 cup evaporated milk with caramels until smooth; set aside. Stir cake mix, remaining milk, nuts and butter (to make dough). Press half of dough into 13 x 9 x 2 inch greased and floured pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 6 minutes. Sprinkle chocolate chips over baked dough. Top with caramel mixture. Spread remaining dough over top of caramel. Bake at 350 degrees for 14 - 18 minutes.
