This is copied from an old cookbook from North Chili, NY. Attributed to Mrs. Arthur Laster. About 1945. 1 large field a nice summer day 3 or 4 small dogs 1 small ball 1 pinch of brook 1 dozen children 1 cup marbles some pebbles growing flowers Mix the children, dogs, marbles and ball well together. Put them on the field, stirring constantly. Pour the brook over the pebbles, sprinkle the field with flowers. Spread over all a deep blue sky and bake in the sun.
