DUTCH APPLE PIE | |
6 c. sliced peeled apples 3/4 c. sugar 2 tbsp. cornstarch 1 tsp. cinnamon Dash of salt 1 tsp. lemon juice 3/4 c. flour 1/4 c. sugar 1/4 c. brown sugar 1/3 c. butter 9 inch unbaked pie crust Mix 3/4 cup sugar, starch, cinnamon, and salt. Add apples. Toss to coat. Sprinkle with lemon juice. Place in unbaked crust. Mix flour, 1/4 cup sugar, and brown sugar. Cut in butter. Sprinkle on top of pie. Bake at 400 degrees for 12-15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes. |
