DIPPING BATTER FOR VEGETABLES &
MEATS
 
3/4 c. cornstarch
1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 c. water
1 egg, slightly beaten

Mix in bowl; add water. Add egg last. Pour 1 quart vegetable oil in skillet. Fry coated mixed vegetables 3 to 4 minutes. Makes good onion rings, mushrooms and chicken livers.
