SUNDAY PORKROAST | |
2 lbs. pork roast 1 med. onion 1 tbsp. flour Salt & pepper Instant gravy mix (package) Wash and dry pork, rub with salt and pepper. In baking pan, place one finely chopped onion. Add roast and brown on all sides with fat. Add 2 cups of hot water and bake in preheated oven (400 degrees) for 2 1/2 to 3 hours. Keep foil loosely over roast. Check often and add water as needed. Just before serving, remove foil and get top of roast crisp and brown. In small bowl, stir flour with 1 cup of cold water (add water after flour), add to roast and season to taste with salt, pepper and instant gravy mix. Serve with potatoes, noodles or rice and a tossed salad. Serves 4-6 people. |
