COUNTRY PIE 
CRUST:

2 lbs. hamburger
1/2 c. tomato sauce
1/4 c. chopped green pepper
1/4 c. onion
1/2 c. bread crumbs
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. oregano

FILLING:

1 1/3 c. quick cooking rice
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. tomato sauce
1 c. water
1 c. grated cheddar cheese

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine beef, tomato sauce, green pepper, onion, bread crumbs and seasonings. Pat mixture into bottom and sides of greased 9 inch pie pan.

Combine rice, salt, sauce, water and 3/4 cup cheese. Spoon rice mixture into crust. Cover with foil and bake 25 to 30 minutes. Remove foil and top with remaining cheese. Bake for 10 to 15 more minutes.
