RANGER COOKIES 
1 c. shortening (butter flavored)
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c. uncooked oats
2 c. Rice Krispies
1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips (mint chips, optional)
Nuts, optional

Cream shortening and sugars. Add eggs and vanilla. Sift flour, baking powder, soda and salt together and add. Stir in oats, cereal, chocolate chips and nuts, if desired. Drop by spoonfuls on greased cookie sheet and bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Makes 8-10 dozen.
