CORA'S OLD FASHION VEGETABLE
SOUP
 
2 lbs. soup meat, plus marrow bones for flavor
Potatoes, cut up
Carrots, sliced
1-2 onions, cut up
Cabbage, chopped
2-3 beef cubes

Place meat, bones and onion in large kettle. Cover with water and cook until tender, 2-3 hours. Cool meat and cut meat from bones and discard all bones. Add the desired amount of vegetables to pot plus beef cubes and cook until tender, 1/2 - 1 hour. Put kettle in refrigerator to let any fat come to top - skim off and reheat.
