GROUND BEEF PIE | |
1 1/2 lbs. lean ground beef 8 oz. tomato sauce 1/4 c. chopped onion 1 jar (4.5 oz.) mushrooms, not drained 1 can crescent rolls 1 egg 2 c. grated cheddar cheese Paprika Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Brown ground beef and drain. Simmer beef, tomato sauce, onion and mushrooms until onion is cooked and liquid is reduced by about a third. Pat crescent roll dough into the bottom of a 10 inch pie plate to form crust. Beat egg; mix with 1 cup of cheese and place in crust as the first layer. Add the meat mixture and cover with 1 cup remaining cheese. Sprinkle with paprika. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Let stand for 10 minutes before cutting. |
